On-Call EMT

Job Overview

HealthRIGHT 360 Event Services provides medical coverage at a variety of events ranging from concerts and festivals to corporate events and construction sites. EMTs will work in the field by themselves or in small groups (depending on the event) to treat any illnesses, injuries, or intoxicated patients at events. EMTs must be comfortable making medical decisions, working by themselves or in a team, providing good customer service to patrons, and being responsible for following all procedures, and taking on new tasks as assigned. Ultimately, the goal of HealthRIGHT 360 is to ensure that all patrons make it safely home to family or friends, or if necessary, the hospital. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Provide medical care for all those onsite
•    Maintain good relationship with the venue staff
•    Making medical decisions (including transport/discharge decisions)
•    Ensuring the safety of all patients
•    Perform patient documentation
•    Perform inventory
•    Other tasks as assigned

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•    Must be licensed as an EMT in CA and in good standing
•    Current health care provider and CA state EMT card 
•    Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
•    Responsible, reliable, personable, compassionate, team player
•    6 months in the medical field with a hospital, EMS agency, or event medical experience (preferred). New EMTs will be considered.
•    Ability to work 1-3 shifts per week (usually in the evenings).
•    Willingness to learn and take continuing education
•    Have a reliable source of transportation.

 

Compensation: $14.42
