Program Director - Women's Residential

Additionally, we are looking for a passionate, inspirational, and efficient individual who has experience working with persons affected by substance use disorder and mental health disorders. Sound interesting?  Below you will find a more detailed description of some of the duties and requirements of the position. 

Prototypes Women's Center is a 240 bed residential facility for women and women with children. We provide comprehensive substance use disorder treatment, mental health, and psychiatric care by an interdisciplinary team of professionals. Treatment episodes range in time from 60 days to 12 months. Prototypes is a fast-based environment and remains one of the leading behavioral health organizations in Los Angeles County. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Attends external meetings and events to learn about the changes in the Behavioral Health field and to represent Prototypes/HR360.
  • Understands agency's strategic visions and finds ways to implement and execute the vision at the treatment services level.
  • Builds and operationalizes processes based on all organizational strategies.
  • Ensures that all program development plans and activities are executed in keeping with the organization’s values, mission, vision and strategy. 
  • Develops systems to track performance measures and client outcomes across programs.
  • Builds and maintains policies and procedures as it relates to day to day program operations in collaboration with QI and EHR staff.
  • Closely coordinates operations with staff at other locations/facilities. 
  • Translates individual funding and program requirements to the continuum of care model.
  • Ensures the execution and maintenance of all Drug Medi-cal standards. 
  • Ensures maintenance of all CARF accreditation standards
  • Responsible for ensuring that all treatment services are provided in an ethical and legal manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring that quality, cutting edge services including the maintenance of quality client records are consistently delivered to clients.  
  • Ensures that quality treatment services inform all programmatic decisions.
  • Provides clinical consultation and guidance to the treatment staff as needed.
  • Ensures that all staff are informed and kept up to date on trends related to client treatment and care
  • Ensures all direct reports are in compliance with Prototypes’ policies, procedures and position expectations and performance goals.Gives ongoing feedback and conducts formal performance evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Assists direct reports in defining career goals and creates opportunities for development.
  • Delivers or arranges training and resources required for direct reports to perform their roles.
  • Responsible for interviewing, selection, hiring and all terminations for direct report positions.
  • Responsible for all performance management including, performance improvement plans, formal written warning notices and terminations of all direct reports as needed.
  • Understands and ensures compliance with policies and procedures to manage risk.
  • Coordinates with Quality Improvement and other staff to establish organization-wide policies and procedures; reviews and updates as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all funding mandates.
  • Ensures compliance with Prototypes’ policies and procedures, HIPAA, 42CFR regulations and all other licensing requirements.
  • Ensures that all staff are informed on quality of care concerns through regular reporting and/or team discussions.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • LMFT, LCSW or Licensed Psychologist preferred with a minimum of three years experience managing teams in comparable size agencies with increasing areas of responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, creative and proactive approach to work
  • Excellent operational, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to delegate, set goals, provide timely performance feedback and motivate others.
  • Experience managing budgets and multiple funding streams including managed care contracts. 
  • Knowledge of private pay and private insurance based contracts.
  • Strong clinical skills with a solid background in behavioral health services, including both substance use and mental health disorders. 
  • Knowledge of evidence based practices.
  • Openness to and comfort with change; and the ability to facilitate change in others.
  • Strategic thinker with proven track record of initiating, implementing and executing on projects.
  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • High degree of self-awareness and self-regulation.
  • Value placed on self-reliance and the efficient use of resources.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency to ensure the highest quality of care possible for our clients. 
Compensation: $90,000.00-$95,000.00
