Our program at the Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP)is an evidenced-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment program within an incarcerated setting that will address substance use disorder, criminal thinking, anger management, and family relationships. The CBT program will encourage male offenders to adopt a pro-social, law abiding lifestyle that helps obtain skills necessary to function as productive members in society, generate alternative solutions, and make decisions about appropriate behavior. AOD Counselors and CBT Facilitators will facilitate a caseload of 12 male offenders during their participation in the program.
The Transitional Counselor is responsible for providing support to participants in transition to continuing care upon parole. Provide guidance and advocate to access continuing care services in their home communities. Works with participants to develop a continuing care plan prior to parole date. Is a liaison between in custody programs and the Specialized Treatment for Optimized Programming (STOP) network.
