Dr. Andrew Desruisseau has a lifelong commitment to the underserved, both at home and abroad. He graduated from James Madison University before joining both Volunteers in Service to American (VISTA) and the US Peace Corps. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas, followed by a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University. He has worked in Cameroon, Uganda, South Africa, and Haiti.
He practices medicine in the Tenderloin where he specializes in HIV and Hepatitis C care. He recently returned from working in Sierra Leone where he worked in the most recent Ebola outbreak.
